Itinerary
Our 8 days Imperial Cities Tour and Atlas is thoughtfully planned to give you the best possible Moroccan experience. Each day is filled with adventure—from exploring historic cities and cultural landmarks to tasting traditional local cuisine and enjoying scenic views of the Atlas Mountains. Join us on this exciting journey through some of the most captivating destinations in Morocco.
DAY 1 - Arrival at Casablanca – Rabat (90 km)
Reception at the airport. Visit of the Hassan II Mosque (compatibly with its opening hours). Departure towards the capital: Rabat. Arriving in the modern and well-kept city you reach the riad. Overnight in hotel / riad. *
DAY 2 - Rabat – Meknès (160 Km)
After breakfast, free time to visit the modern and well-kept city and its symbolic sites. By car you reach the Hassan II Tower with the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Oudaya kasbah with its characteristic blue and white colors located in the medina. In the early afternoon departure for Meknes. Overnight in hotel / riad.
DAY 3 - Meknes – Volubilis – Fes (90 Km)
After breakfast, accompanied by an authorized guide, we spend the morning visiting the city: from the imposing Bab Mansour, one of the most beautiful gates in all of Morocco, to the reservoir of the ancient imperial city, a water reserve for palace gardens, from the series of arcades of the stables to the large barns’ rooms, to then move on to the souks where the shops are still divided according to the different craft activities (half day visit). Leaving Meknes, you reach the Roman site of Volubilis declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Time available to visit the archaeological site. Departure for Fes. Overnight in riad.
DAY 4 - Fes (visit)
After breakfast, half day guided tour of the largest medina in the country. As soon as you have crossed one of the many gates, a journey back in time begins. The labyrinth of alleys is a succession of wonderful canopies, doors and string courses in inlaid cedar wood. Visit the Madrasa (Koranic school), admire the Neijarine fountain and, walking, walk along the El-Qaraouiyyin Mosque (which only Muslims can access). Always immersed in the souks you can visit the Foundouks (typical construction) and continue towards the tanneries and their colors. After taking leave of the guide, time is available to continue visiting the medina. Overnight in riad.
DAY 5 - Fes – Beni Mellal (315 km)
Breakfast and departure towards the south-east to cross the mountain range of the Middle Atlas. After a stop in the small and orderly Ifrane, a town with pointed roofs with red tiles and therefore called “the little Swiss”, you will pass through the cedar forest of the Azrou area and reach the sources of the Oum Er Rbia in the heart of the mountains: here the longest river in Morocco begins its 600 km journey to the ocean. It starts in the direction of Khenifra, a town with typical carmine-colored houses, up to the sources of the Ain Asserdoun surrounded by trees and small gardens, and finally in the city of Beni Mellal. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 6 - Beni Mellal – Marrakech (280 km)
Breakfast and departure. Through wooded hills and following a series of hairpin bends you reach the blue waters of the artificial lake of Bin el-Ouidane: the largest lake in Morocco. From here you travel to the Azilal valley and, after passing the small town, continue to one of the most spectacular corners of Morocco: the Ouzoud waterfalls. After a refreshing stop, we leave for Marrakech where we arrive in the late afternoon. Overnight in riad.
DAY 7 - Marrakech (visit)
After breakfast, appointment with the authorized guide to begin the half day visit of the imperial city known as the “red Marrakech” founded by the Almoravides at the end of the 11th century. Discovering historic buildings, gardens and monuments, walking along streets and alleys and admiring the Koutoubia minaret you arrive at the famous Djemaa el Fna square from where, accompanied by music, dance and performances, you enter the lively and colorful souks. After taking leave of the guide, you can continue to explore the medina. Overnight in riad.
DAY 8 - Marrakech (departure)
Breakfast and free time to continue visiting the city, go shopping or relax before going to the appointment with the driver for the transfer to the Rak Menara airport in Marrakech where you must arrive at least two hours before the departure time. of the flight.
