DAY 2 - Marrakech to Skoura Oasis (240 km)After breakfast, depart towards Ouarzazate. The road crossing the High Atlas Mountains gently climbs to the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass at 2,260m above sea level. Along the way, you will encounter villages and trading spots with typical scenes of local life. After the pass, you’ll reach the Onila Valley and the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a magnificent example of fortified architecture. After visiting the village, continue through Ouarzazate to the lush Skoura Oasis, where you can admire the sunset over the palm grove and the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.
DAY 3 - Skoura Oasis to Tagounite (270 km)After breakfast, depart towards the spectacular Draa Valley, a series of palm groves and kasbahs. Arrive in Zagora, a town founded by the French in the 1920s to control the region, and continue to Tamegroute. Stop in this traditional village with its “underground” kasbah and a Quranic library that holds precious ancient manuscripts. Continue to the Tagounite oasis at the edge of the desert. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.
DAY 4 - Tagounite – M’Hamid – Erg Chegaga (90 km)After breakfast, visit the ksar of Oulad Driss near M’Hamid. Explore the ancient part of the village and a small museum of traditional objects. Walk to the palm grove, then continue the journey into the Sahara. Cross diverse desert landscapes – the Reg and Hamada – and stop at the Sacred Oasis before reaching the Erg Chegaga dunes, with sand dunes up to 300 meters high. Free time to walk among the dunes and enjoy the silence and vastness. Dinner and overnight in a desert camp.
DAY 5 - Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Taroudant (390 km)Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, head deeper into the desert. Cross the “dune river,” reach Lake Iriki, and then continue to Foum Zguid, the first inhabited village after the desert. After a rest stop, continue to Tazenakht, a town famous for carpet production, and onward to Taroudant. Known as the “little Marrakech,” the city lies in the Souss Valley and is surrounded by the High Atlas to the north/east and the Anti-Atlas to the south. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
DAY 6 - Taroudant to Essaouira (260 km)After breakfast, depart for Essaouira. Leaving behind the fertile plains of Taroudant, the journey heads towards the Atlantic. After passing Agadir, the road is lined with argan trees. This tree grows only in Morocco, and its fruit produces oil with many cosmetic and healing properties. In some stretches, soft sand dunes meet the ocean. Upon arrival in Essaouira, begin exploring the city. At sunset in the square between the port and the ramparts, experience the relaxed daily life of locals in an atmosphere from another time. Overnight in a riad.
DAY 7 - Essaouira to MarrakechAfter breakfast, free time to visit the UNESCO-listed medina of Essaouira, surrounded by tall walls weathered by salt and wind. The city was fortified by the Portuguese in the 16th century with bastions embedded in rocks beaten by the ocean. In the afternoon, depart for Marrakech. As you leave the ocean behind, travel through hills surrounding Essaouira. The landscape and vegetation change as argan trees give way to vineyards and olive groves. Small rural towns and markets line the route. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon. Overnight in a riad.
DAY 8 - Marrakech (Guided City Tour)After breakfast, meet with a certified guide for a half-day tour of the imperial city known as “Red Marrakech,” founded by the Almoravids in the late 11th century. Discover historical palaces, gardens, and monuments. Walk through alleys and streets, admire the Koutoubia minaret, and arrive at the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where music, dancing, and performances bring the souks to life. After the tour, you may continue exploring the medina independently.
DAY 9 - Marrakech (departure)After breakfast, free time to explore, shop, or relax before meeting your driver for the transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport. Arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight. End of services.*
